Digital Marketing / Web Specialist

Position Summary:

Essential Properties Realty Trust (NYSE: EPRT) is a publicly traded, net-lease Real Estate Investment Trust located in Princeton, NJ that primarily invests in single-tenant, operationally essential real estate assets across a wide variety of industries within the service, retail and industrial sectors throughout the United States. As of June 30, 2022, we have invested $4B and operate a portfolio of 1,561 properties across the nation.

Reporting to the Head of Investments, this candidate will be an integral member of the Investment Team. The Digital Marketing Specialist supports the design, implementation, execution, and analysis of the department’s digital marketing efforts. This includes social media, website/web properties, digital/SEO/SEM advertising, and database marketing.

The Digital Marketing & Website Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing opportunities to engage with our external audiences through digital channels. This individual is expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and fantastic content creation and writing skills. In addition, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for reporting and analysis on all digital campaigns.


  • Develop multichannel digital marketing strategy that includes social media, email, search engine marketing, paid social, and marketing automation
  • Knowledge of websites, including the ability to create pages, troubleshoot, and enhance the user experience
  • Manage the firm website and develop interactive web content, infographics, video, and other
  • Measure and report performance of all web-based content using Google Analytics and CRM system
  • Work with internal teams to plan, execute, and measure web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and digital campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create content, and manage digital editorial calendars across various social media platforms
  • Assess performance against goals (ROI and KPIs)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical problem solver for the marketing department
  • Serve as a marketing interface with IT department
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Assist when needed with other team functions


  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Marketing or Digital/Communications preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of digital marketing work experience
  • Proven work experience with CRM systems
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and advertising platforms
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or digital campaigns
  • Experience in optimizing website user experience
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing communication and measurement
  • Experience collecting and organizing data for systems and marketing activities (e.g., CRM, promotions, email marketing, social engagement, and pipeline)
  • Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, client-focused and driven team player with the ability to solve problems, take initiative, and think innovatively
  • Candidate must be a citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the United States
