Lease Administrator

Essential Properties Realty Trust (NYSE: EPRT) is a publicly traded net-lease Real Estate Investment Trust located in Princeton, NJ that primarily invests in single-tenant, operationally essential real estate assets across a wide variety of industries within the service, retail, and industrial sectors throughout the United States. Essential Properties is seeking a Lease Administrator to join our Asset Management team, reporting to the VP of Asset Management. The role will be based in Princeton, NJ with the option to split time in our Jersey City, NJ office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable and growing real estate platform. The ideal candidate will be well-organized with a “can-do” attitude and will have experience in lease administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete new tenant on-boarding
  • Work with closing team to abstract leases for newly acquired properties and enter into DealPath
  • Review and analyze tenant requests against commercial lease requirements
  • Develop process to track and organize outstanding tenant reimbursables and tenant deliveries
  • Review property notices received and escalate as appropriate
  • Follow up with tenants on post-closing repair obligations to help ensure completion
  • Help manage collection of rent each month
  • Help manage collection of tenant financials on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
  • Work with accounting teams on an ongoing basis to confirm tenant reimbursables are received
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits for 3rd parties with tenants
  • Sort mail and distribute to appropriate teams

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in working with commercial real estate leases
  • Experienced in Outlook and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred)
  • Experience with DealPath or similar deal software is a plus
  • Detail-oriented and can balance competing priorities
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • In-person attendance in office required (4 days per week)
