Closing Associate / Transaction Coordinator

Essential Properties Realty Trust (NYSE: EPRT) is a publicly traded, net-lease Real Estate Investment Trust located in Princeton, NJ that primarily invests in single-tenant, operationally essential real estate assets across a wide variety of industries within the service, retail, and industrial sectors throughout the United States. As of June 30, 2023, we have invested $4B and operate a portfolio of over 1,800 properties across the nation.

The Real Estate Closing Associate/Transaction Coordinator will work closely with the Originator, Closers, Underwriters and Outside Counsel in the purchase of properties. Duties will include ordering and providing due diligence, closing tasks, and post-closing support for the transactions group; aggregating and storing legal and closing documents; and performing ad hoc or other support functions that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports Investment and Closing Teams in connection with Acquisitions
  • Solicit and review third party vendor proposals
  • Coordinates the preparation and completion of closing documents
  • Assists with the management of the closing calendar and delivery of same internally and externally
  • Coordination of funding requirements
  • Notarizes, aggregates signatures and sends out various closing, financing and or legal packages
  • Obtains and archive closing documents for physical storage
  • Archive and maintains electronic database with closing documents
  • Onboard new acquisitions and related details into our operating database
  • Updates and tracks legal fees and related information for analysis purposes
  • Accurately track, follow-up, and complete post-closing items

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and resolve conflicting work requirements

Education, Work Experience, and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1-2 year of experience in real estate, or similar field
  • Title/Escrow Assistant Experience Preferred
  • Notary Preferred
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the US
  • In-person attendance in office required (4 days per week)
